The Last Song is a 2010 American drama coming of the Age of development with the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. The film was directed by Julie Anne Robinson in his film debut as director and co-written by Jeff Sparks and Van Wie. The Last Song star Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear, Kelly Preston and Liam Hemsworth and follows a teenager with problems in his return to his father the former and falls in love one summer in a town south of quiet beach. The film will be distributed by Touchstone Pictures, a replacement label Film The Walt Disney Company.
Sparks has been approached to write the script in both the film and the novel. Sparks finished the script in January , 2009, before the end of the novel, what makes The Last Song his first screenplay for the film option. Creating a native of North Carolina, like the novel, has changed state of Georgia after the campaign for months to host the production. Based on Tybee Island, Georgia, near Savannah, The Last Song became in the first film to be shot and put in Tybee Island. Shooting lasted from June 15 to August 18, 2009, with much to spend on the beach of the island and shore. The Last Song was originally scheduled for release January 8, 2010, [3], but has since been postponed to March 31 December 2010.
At seventeen, Veronica "Ronnie" Miller (Miley Cyrus) remains rebellious and distant as it was the day after his parents' ugly divorce and subsequent relocation to Georgia father three years. [4] Once a classical piano prodigy under the tutelage of his father, Steve Miller (Greg Kinnear), Ronnie now rejects the instrument and has not spoken to his father since he left. [5] Despite the Juilliard School was interested in it since I was young, Ronnie refuses to attend [6].
Now, Steve is given the chance to reconnect with estranged daughter when her mother, Kim (Kelly Preston) send the young rebel and his younger brother, Jonas (Bobby Coleman), to spend the summer with him. Steve, a former professor at the Juilliard School and pianist together, [7] now lives a quiet life in Tybee Island, Georgia small seaside town where he grew up working in a local church stained glass to replace what the Church has lost in a fire. [4], [8]
On arrival, Ronnie is miserable, hostile and defensive to those around him, including beautiful, popular Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth) - until, after both her and will be involved in the protection of a loggerhead sea turtle nesting [9], she discovers that she is deeper than I thought. [5] As Ronnie fell in love with the will, it also manages relationships with his father Steve through what they have music together [4].
